A popular and signature attraction at Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival, the Safeway Family Stage will showcase an all-star lineup of performing artists at this year’s festival, October 14-15.

Bob at Large … Circus meets the streets in this amazing three-wheeling, cylinder stacking, comic explosion! Unbelievably high skills, audience participation, dangerous stunts, all tightly woven into a show with as much comic tension as a family of whales on a bungee cord. When, David Letterman saw the act he exclaimed, “That’s just insane Bob!” Now you decide: balanced inspiration or inspiration-ally unbalanced? Bring your whole family – Bob’s show is side-splitting laugh a minute fun.

Liz DeRoche (aka The Singing Lizard) started playing piano and drums when she was just four years old. Growing up in the green valleys of Western Oregon, she drew her inspiration from nature and the simple joys of small-town living. In 2010, Liz founded her own independent record label (AlphaBeat Records) to promote the release of family friendly music and began performing as The Singing Lizard, a nickname she acquired as a kid. With the creation of Electro-Kindie, Liz is one of the first artists to combine original and traditional children's music with electronic, pop, and dance genres. Her live shows are interactive, high energy and entertaining. Just watch all the kids line up for a hug from The Singing Lizard after a performance and you will truly understand the connection she creates with her audience. Adults make up some of Liz's most loyal fans, thrilled that she has inspired their children by gently encouraging the shy and channeling the exuberant to imagine, dance, and learn.

The West Coast Ramblers are a popular local bluegrass band featuring Mark Heath on guitar and vocals, Mimi Hills on bass and vocals, Bob Keane on mandolin and vocals, Robbie Macdonald on banjo and vocals, and Elliott Stewart on fiddle and vocals. The Ramblers are excited to feature local song writer Peter Alexander as he and the Ramblers perform his Pumpkin Festival song writers entry "Pumpkin Time".

“Smashing Pumpkins: Battle of the Bands”, under the direction of impresario Ken Kelly, returns for an encore performance at this year’s festival. "It has been enormously gratifying to see our Smashing Pumpkins: Battle of the Bands become such a festival hit,” said producing director, Kelly, owner of Ken Kelly Productions. “It’s all about giving emerging and outstanding young talent from around the Bay Area a chance to do what all performers love to do: perform in front of a live audience. We’ll have some of our favorite acts back again along with some new talent that we've discovered over the past year.”

The Safeway Family Stage is located in the Bank of America parking lot at 620 Main Street in Half Moon Bay.
