The Best Bay Area Bands Will Blow the Barn Doors at Half Moon Bay’s Pumpkinpalooza

It’s that special time of year when throngs of pumpkin fans gather in Half Moon Bay to dance and frolic in the ultimate mecca of gourd greatness. In keeping with the festival’s big reputation, four stages of sensational entertainment for all ages will transform Half Moon Bay into the Bay’s entertainment hotspot for a weekend during the city’s monster Pumpkinpalooza—the Art & Pumpkin Festival, October 14-15. The Bay Area’s most popular bands are lined up to make this the best pumpkin fest yet with their crowd-pleasing country, rock, reggae, dance hits, jazz favorites and more. (Complete schedule below.)

Saturday, October 14: Main Stage/I.D.E.S. Grounds
Jim Stevens & Friends are such a smashing success every year, their eager fans make sure to catch their kid-pleasing folk music merriment both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Don’t miss their fun, catchy songs about pumpkins and Half Moon Bay that will get the whole family into spirit of the festival.
California Cowboys – These country music journeymen bring together a rare creative combination of rock influences with traditional country sound. Their look, sound and show have propelled them onto concert billings with country favorites Alabama, Big & Rich, Dwight Yoakam, Merle Haggard, Clint Black, George Jones, Willie Nelson and Toby Keith.
Coastside favorites The Megatones bring their polished vocal harmony and rock-and-roll playlist ranging from the 50's to today’s Top 40 hits. This dynamic band has crafted their sound playing corporate casuals, hard-edged bars and nightclubs, all the way to the satin sounds required by Hearst Castle and the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel.
Pamela Rose & Coastside Groove – Pamela Rose is a San Francisco jazz and blues vocalist who thrills audiences locally and internationally with her swinging, soulful style. Pamela brings with her an all-star funk/blues band that includes B-3 master Tony Stead (Tommy Castro, Sly Stone), guitarist Garth Webber (Gregg Allman, Miles Davis), drummer Bryant Mills and Alex Murzyn on sax.

Bits & Pieces is an instrumental funk rock jam band with a grooving horn section, thunderous rhythm section, amazing spontaneity and true musical brotherhood evidenced in each performance.
The Fog City Swampers are a female-fronted homage to one of the most loved and iconic bands to ever come out of the Bay Area: Creedence Clearwater Revival. The show features all of CCR's smash hits as well as rock classics by artists like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, Fleetwood Mac, and many more.

Coast Tribe is a modern reggae/rock band based in Half Moon Bay, CA. Their unique style encompasses elements from diverse genres like reggae, funk, hip hop, and heavy metal. Expressive lyrics paint pictures of the struggles of the modern world and words that celebrate life and music.
San Francisco a capella band Business Casual brings a fresh spin on vintage chart toppers and today’s hits using vocals only. This all-ages show showcases powerful lead vocals, thumping bass, and sizzling beats guaranteed to leave audience members amazed that this award winning group created their entire sound using just their amazing voices.
Jazz Con Fusion is a jazz rock tribute band performing songs by Jeff Beck, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Weather Report and more from the fusion era in American music. In this day and age it’s rare to find musicians who can play this genre of music live. The band features extraordinary Coastside musicians Barry Hutcherson on Drums, John Engle on bass and Chris Cotruvo on guitar.

Chaz & Co. is a multi-instrumentalist/soloist and a well-known, seasoned freelance musician, band leader and entertainer. He’s a skilled jack of all trades. Chaz plays the saxophone, clarinet, flute, guitar, keyboards, piano & drums plus does vocals. He has performed all over the world a wide range of musical styles – from classical, new age, jazz standard, smooth jazz, swing, big band, r&b, rock, oldies, blues, country, reggae and calypso, Latin dance, hip hop and rap.
Hubert Emerson & the GroWiser Band is a Caribbean-influenced Soul family band. Papa Hubert’s soulful lyrics will touch your heart and lift your spirits.
