Sensational Lineup Announced for the “Made on the Coast” Music Stage Presented by Half Moon Bay Brewing Company
The “Made on the Coast” (MOTC) Artists' Group, a subcommittee of the Half Moon Bay Beautification Committee, presents its lineup of musicians for the "Made on the Coast Music Stage", part of Locals' Block at the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival.
The MOTC Music Stage will feature performances all day on October 14 and 15 and is located in the Cunha's Country Store parking lot (at Kelly and Main).
The MOTC Music Stage is supported this year by presenting sponsor, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company.
True to Local Artist’s Block tradition, the MOTC Stage lineup on Sunday all hail from the Coastside – from Pacifica to Pescadero, and west of Skyline.
Our awesome band booking expert, Paula Helene, representing Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, carefully selected the bands for both days.
Visitors will hear a wide range of styles of music from R&B, Blues, and Rockin’ Americana to Reggae.
Top the stellar music off with a tasty Pumpkin Harvest Ale, refreshing Kolsch or hoppy IPA from the new Half Moon Bay Brewing Company beer booth in the MOTC Stage area and you’ve got a flat-out winner.
Saturday, October 14
- 10 AM to Noon – Derek Fairchild
We're starting with some smokey Delta Blues from singer/songwriter/guitarist Derek Fairchild. His voice has grit and soul which blends perfectly as he plays slide on his beloved 1930 National Steel guitar and 70's Dobro. Listen to recent live and studio recordings and see his show schedule at: http://flat12.tv/music
- Noon to 1 PM – Great Pumpkin Parade
Here comes the Parade! You'll have a perfect spot to watch by the HMBB Co./MOTC stage. Get there early and stay, you won't want to miss the Jenny Kerr Band starting right after the Parade.
- 1 PM to 4 PM – Jenny Kerr Band
Jenny is a bold and interesting woman, she has a warm and powerful voice and she's a multi-instrumentalist and a songwriter. Rockin' R&B, country, blues, swampy Americana. She comes with very fine and experienced musicians. Check her out at www.jennykerr.com
Sunday, October 15
Today our stage features musicians who live near this coast.
- 10:30 AM – The Half Moon Bay High School Pep Band led by their teacher, Walter Anderson
We start Sunday at 10:30 AM with the hope of the future. Share in our pride to have these young and talented musicians entertain and raise our spirits.
- 11:45 AM to 2:15 PM – Patrick Maier Plus One
Patrick is one of the Bay Area's finest vocalists, he’s extremely versatile, a great jazz, rock, blues singer, riding the mighty currents of American music. He's a double threat- a really good guitarist too. He's made a living as a working musician with his band Smackdab, and as a High School music teacher. He will perform with another wonderful guitarist.
- 2:45 PM to 5 PM – DreamCycle
We will close-out this extraordinary day of music with The DreamCycle Band. They feature exciting and powerful vocals and instrumental prowess. Classic and their own rock music. Finish the day dancing; this band will rock! Most excellent!
