Sensational Lineup Announced for the “Made on the Coast” Music Stage Presented by Half Moon Bay Brewing Company
The “Made on the Coast” (MOTC) Artists' Group, a subcommittee of the Half Moon Bay Beautification Committee, presents its lineup of musicians for the "Made on the Coast Music Stage", part of Locals' Block at the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival.
The MOTC Music Stage will feature performances all day on October 14 and 15 and is located in the Cunha's Country Store parking lot (at Kelly and Main).
The MOTC Music Stage is supported this year by presenting sponsor, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company.
True to Local Artist’s Block tradition, the MOTC Stage lineup on Sunday all hail from the Coastside – from Pacifica to Pescadero, and west of Skyline.
Our awesome band booking expert, Paula Helene, representing Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, carefully selected the bands for both days.
Visitors will hear a wide range of styles of music from R&B, Blues, and Rockin’ Americana to Reggae.
Top the stellar music off with a tasty Pumpkin Harvest Ale, refreshing Kolsch or hoppy IPA from the new Half Moon Bay Brewing Company beer booth in the MOTC Stage area and you’ve got a flat-out winner.
Saturday, October 15
- 10 AM to 12 PM – Patrick Maier Duo
Patrick Maier is a truly fine vocalist/guitarist and with his musical compadre will deliver a cornucopia of musical blends from soul to country to rock. Enjoy a masterful blend of classic, American sounds with no GMO.
- 12 PM to 1 PM – Great Pumpkin Parade
- 1 PM to 4 PM – Ahern-Cotruvo Project
Best friends and longtime Coastside musicians Chris and Mike bring to the stage a rich tapestry of rock, blues and Americana performed in a unique acoustic and electric partnership.
Sunday, October 16
- 10 AM to 10:45 AM – HMB HS Jazz Band
We start the Sunday line-up with a look at the future, young talent who may become working musicians or doctors or invent the boon to renewable energy.... We are proud to present the Half Moon Bay High School Jazz Band, led by their teacher, Walter Anderson. We will hear the big sound of jazz.
- 11:15 AM to 1:30 PM – Chinese Melodrama
Chinese Melodrama delivers thought provoking lyrical content built on top of a full bodied layer of sound. Their unique stage chemistry comes from two very diverse musical backgrounds. Classically trained violinist Lisa Chu displays a magical color of inspirational beauty and sound on top of Randy Bales' intricate melodies and deep energetic vocals. A hard edge to the not so traditional acoustic sound.
- 2 PM to 4:30 PM – Coastsiders
The Coastsiders is an offshoot of the popular band DreamCycle. Vocalist/bassist and music teacher Lynda Upthegrove with guitarist Sean Allen wrote an original album and will do some of those songs. They are joined by guitarist Brian Dotson and drummer Brendon Bond. Along with originals the Coastsiders perform the coolest covers from Janis Joplin to Metallica and Led Zeplin. Great singing, searing guitar licks, and righteous rock rhythm.
